My Debt Coach is a manual debt payoff planner. You type balances and payments yourself. There is no bank link and no autopay. That keeps planning calm and under your control.

This walkthrough covers Home, My Debt, Plan, and Payments. Match each numbered pin on a screenshot to the list under the image.

1. Create your account

Go to Get Started and create a free account. After signup you can add what you owe on My Debt, then shape your Plan.

  1. Choose Get Started from the marketing site.
  2. Create your account with email, or choose Continue with Google.
  3. Open My Debt to add your first card, loan, or buy now, pay later plan.

2. Home at a glance

Home is your overview after accounts exist. Check total remaining, Next up actions, and payoff progress across accounts. Start most sessions here, then jump to My Debt, Plan, or Payments when you need to act.

Home dashboard

The purple card shows total debt and progress. Next up highlights what to do today. Payoff progress lists every account.

3. Add what you owe on My Debt

My Debt is your inventory. Add each card, loan, or pay-later plan with balance, APR, minimum payment, and due day. Accurate mins keep Must pay honest later on Plan.

My Debt accounts

Use Add account for cards and loans. Include pay-later plans so installments count in your month. Edit a row when a statement changes the balance or min.

  • Include BNPL plans so installments count in your month.
  • Refresh balances when statements arrive.
  • Keep typed minimums current so Must pay stays honest.

4. Set your budget and strategy on Plan

Plan turns your inventory into a monthly payoff rhythm. Set a debt budget you can repeat, pick a strategy, then save. Leftover above Must pay becomes Focus for the priority account.

Plan budget and strategy

Enter the amount you can put toward debt this month, choose avalanche or snowball (or another strategy), then save. Watch Must pay, Unspent, and Focus update.

5. Mark payments on the calendar

Payments is where you log real money you sent. Use the calendar to spot dues, then Mark as Paid on the month schedule after you pay your creditor. Skip only hides a due. It does not change the balance.

Payments calendar and schedule

Stay on the Due tab, use the calendar to find dues, clear Overdue from past months, then Mark as Paid on the August Payments rows after you send money.

Mark as Paid updates balances and streaks. Skip does not.

Your weekly rhythm

  1. Check Home for Next up and progress.
  2. Update balances when statements arrive (My Debt).
  3. Confirm budget still covers Must pay (Plan).
  4. Mark as Paid when you send money (Payments).
